Day 1 Traditional Handicraft Villages

In the morning you get picked up from your hotel to visit Van Phuc silk village, During the visit, you will witness beautiful silk productions are made. It is also a chance for you to purchase silk products for souvenirs before leaving the Van Phuc Silk-making village.

Then, drive to Duyen Thai village where the local people made lacquerware products for over 500 years. Here you can see the process of making about 13 layers for each lacquerware product. The local artists will show you how to distinguish the difference between the high-quality lacquerware products and the low-quality ones which are sold in the Hanoi Old Quater. 

Return to Ha Noi for having a light lunch with Pho - Vietnamese noodle food.

Continuing, visit  Bat Trang pottery village to enjoy a guided walking tour of the village to learn about the culture and lifestyle of its inhabitants. Then, pay a visit to a porcelain workshop and see the porcelain production process firsthand. Later, you can try your hand at making your pottery and master the art of wheel throwing for a unique souvenir of your trip if you wish to. 

After that, the car takes you through the rice field to get to Dong Ho painting village. Here, you will experience the traditional way to make painting paper and the method of printing pictures.

Arrive back at your hotel in the late afternoon. Finish your unforgettable excursion to the traditional handicraft villages.
