This beautifully preserved area comprises rich, primary tropical rainforest, limestone peaks, and fertile agricultural land. It is a fantastic place to explore the wilderness of the Vietnamese countryside. The stunning scenery is best experienced on foot or by bicycle which can be rented easily from one of the villages.
In the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Noi, and transfer you to Mai Chau valley (approx. 3-hour drive). Stop on the way to visit a village of Muong people and admire a wonderful panorama of Mai Chau valley from Thung Khe Pass. Set in an idyllic valley, hemmed in by hills, the Mai Chau valley is a world away from Hanoi’s hustle.
Upon arrival in Mai Chau valley, take a guided bicycle ride or a guided walking tour to enjoy the peaceful scene of farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves, and visiting surrounding villages.
During the tour, you will pay a visit to a local family to learn about their daily life and their way of living. Besides, you have a good chance to experience their weaving products.
The villagers are mostly White Thai, distantly related to tribes in Thailand, Laos, and China. The Thai women are masterful weavers producing plenty of traditional-style textiles.
After that, you will leave Mai Chau to go back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
The tour ends.
